Crafty Emblies memo block & giant peg

Hello all, hope you enjoyed the long weekend.  I didn't get any time for crafting unfortunately but these 2 items were made last week for a friend and I thought I would post them.  I used Lumiere gorgeous metallic paint and they have a fabulous sheen which I'm not sure shows here.  A simple strip of Tim Holz tissue tape is on top of that, and also around the pencil.

The gorgeous Craft Emblies cogs and bolts are rubbed with Inca Gold and they really gleam.

The great big peg is painted in the same colour as the block box but looks paler here.  It also has a strip of tissue tape followed by Inca Gold rubbed Crafty Emblies wooden goodies.  I also glued a piece of bling (necklace) for contrast.  That's it for today, thanks for coming by :)

Thank You cards

My mum needed a load of Thank You cards after her 90th Birthday party.  I needed to do them real quick so I used my Craftwork Cards papers and cards.  They are all different, some more than others, but basically made from the same materials.  I used 2 Martha Stewart punches for the butterflies and 2 for the lacy edges, I love these as unlike a lot of other punches they will go through pretty thick card stock.  I used some Tim Holtz tissue tape on a few of them and a thank you stamp from PSX and one from All Night Media.

Another teen birthday card - great fun to make.  The main card is an A4 kraft card folded in half.  Tim Holtz tissue tape is applied diagonally in stripe patter across the whole thing.  The boy is Paper Artsy (I think! - I have lost the packaging again) stamped in blue, cut out and mounted on a piece of shiny black card with metallic markers puddled on it and allowed to dry.  This piece mounted on white and then mounted on top of a blue piece stamped in dark blue versamagic ink with the other stamp from this set, one of the stamps says 'if people did not do silly things sometimes, nothing intelligent would ever get done'  - very neat! This piece is mounted onto white card.  The kraft text pieces are edged in dark blue versamagic ink ; the 17 is a rub on and the other words were done using an alphabet stamp set.  The flourish is a Tim Holtz sizzix die called Elegant Flourishes.  I hope you like it :)
